Genesis 14:18, "Melchizedek king of Salem... he was priest of God Most High" - the first mention of this figure in Scripture, the basis for Hebrews' whole argument.

Genesis 14:19, "He blessed him" - Melchizedek blessing Abraham, part of the same brief episode.

Genesis 14:20, "Abram gave him a tenth of all" - the tithe Hebrews will make much of a few verses later.
