On the day that Moses had finished setting up the tabernacle and had anointed and consecrated it and all its furniture, and the altar and all its utensils; he also anointed them and consecrated them [for holy use].
This chapter frames itself: it opens with the tabernacle finished and anointed (v.1) and closes with Moses finally entering it to speak with God (v.89). Eighty-eight verses of near-identical tribal offerings sit inside that frame - repetitive by design, not by accident, since every tribe brings exactly the same gift.
